Dr. Mark Scurria, DDS
Board-Certified Prosthodontist | Digital Denture Innovator | Educator
Dr. Mark Scurria brings more than 35 years of prosthodontic experience and a deep passion for restoring function and dignity through denture care. Originally from Pennsylvania and Ohio, Dr. Scurria has called North Carolina home since high school. He completed both his undergraduate and dental degrees at the University of North Carolina, followed by a general practice residency at the VA in San Antonio, and his prosthodontic certification at the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston.
Dr. Scurria spent seven years on the faculty at the UNC Adams School of Dentistry, where he led the school’s denture curriculum and was awarded tenure as an associate professor. His legacy includes multiple published research studies and mentorship of the next generation of prosthodontists.
Today, Dr. Scurria continues his role as an adjunct associate professor at UNC and serves as board chair for Local Start Dental, a nonprofit clinic dedicated to serving veterans and underserved patients.
When he’s not designing digital smiles, he enjoys traveling with his wife and three children, houseboating across Canada, Europe, and beyond.
Dr. Bruce Gray, DDS

To meet Dr. Bruce Gray is to instantly feel at ease. A North Carolina native, Dr. Gray has focused exclusively on denture and implant restoration for over 30 years. He earned his undergraduate degree at NC State University and completed his dental education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Dr. Gray’s approach is grounded in real connection, meticulous care, and deep respect for each patient’s story. His clinical focus has been restoring function and confidence for patients who’ve experienced significant tooth loss — especially those who have struggled with traditional dentures or prior treatment failures.
In addition to his practice, Dr. Gray is a beloved community member in Wendell, NC, where he lives with his wife, Virginia (who also serves as the town’s mayor). He’s an adjunct faculty member at UNC, a coach, and a dad — and he brings that same heart into the care he provides every day.
